SEAMLESS DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURAL COLLABORATION
Marbella Studio develops interior layouts, lighting, materials, furnishings and 3D visualisations in collaboration with architects. We coordinate the interior design information with your appointed architect and contractor so that the proposal fits the architecture and the way you use your home.
Architectural appointments, statutory projects, permits and site management remain with the relevant appointed professionals. Our scope focuses on interior design and furnishings.
WE’RE WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!
INTERIOR DESIGN IS AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ARCHITECTURE FOR SEVERAL REASONS:
- Functionality: Interior design plays a crucial role in determining the functionality of a space. A well-designed interior should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also meet the practical needs of its inhabitants. For example, a well-designed kitchen should have enough counter space, storage, and appliances to accommodate the needs of the family.
- Comfort: The design of a space can have a significant impact on the comfort and well-being of its inhabitants. Interior design elements such as lighting, color, temperature, and acoustics can all affect the comfort of a space.
- Aesthetics: Interior design can greatly enhance the aesthetic appeal of a space. It allows architects to create a visual experience that is both beautiful and functional. By using color, texture, and lighting, interior designers can create a cohesive and attractive living environment.
- Branding: For commercial spaces, interior design can play an important role in creating a specific brand image. By using a particular design style, color scheme, and type of furniture, a business can create a memorable and unique environment that sets them apart from their competitors.
- Energy Efficiency: A well-designed interior can also have an impact on energy efficiency. For example, by incorporating energy-efficient lighting, HVAC systems, and insulation, interior designers can help to reduce the energy consumption of a building, leading to lower utility bills and a more environmentally friendly space.
Interior design is an integral part of architecture, as it plays a key role in determining the functionality, comfort, aesthetics, branding, and energy efficiency of a space.
ENHANCING SPACES: DESIGN COLLABORATION
Interior designers play a crucial role in supporting architects by determining furniture layouts, designing lighting plans, and more. We bridge the gap between architectural structure and the lived experience of a space, ensuring that every area is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and user-friendly. Our expertise extends to selecting materials and finishes that complement the architectural vision, advising on color schemes that enhance the spatial experience, and optimizing the flow within spaces to create environments that are both inviting and practical. By collaborating closely with architects, we ensure that the interior design contributes to the overall coherence and beauty of the project, adding value through our detailed attention to the finer aspects of living and working environments. This partnership allows for a holistic approach to design, where every element of a space is considered and integrated, resulting in harmonious and impactful interiors.
